Dr. Allen A. Ciuffo, MD

Dr. Ciuffo received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University after three years in 1974. He was accepted into the accelerated program at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and earned his doctor of medicine degree from Johns Hopkins in 1978. He went on to complete his internship and residency in medicine at Johns Hopkins in 1981. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at Johns Hopkins in 1985 and was then invited onto the faculty in the Division of Cardiology. Dr. Ciuffo is a member of the medical honor societies Phi Beta Kappa in (1974), and Alpha Omega Alpha (1977).

Dr. Ciuffo is Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is recognized by the Heart Rhythm Society for special proficiency in cardiac pacing and is board certified in interventional cardiology.

Dr. Ciuffo’s primary areas of interest are interventional cardiology, management of congestive heart failure and pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
