John E. Brush, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Brush graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1976, and earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1980. Dr. Brush trained in Medicine at the University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, and subsequently underwent his Cardiology Fellowship training at Yale University School of Medicine. He was also a Senior Investigator with the Cardiology Branch of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, in addition to his position as a staff cardiologist.
Dr. Brush is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and President of the Virginia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology from 2006-2009.
Dr. Brush’s primary areas of interest are catheter-based coronary revascularization and nuclear cardiology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, as well as Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
