Dr. Millie Lee, MD

Dr. Lee received her undergraduate degree from New York University in 1988, and her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1992. During her time at medical school, she was active in researching health care access for school aged children in inner cities. She completed her training in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She also completed fellowships between 1995 and 2000, including a Post-Doctorate Research Fellowship, Post-Doctorate Clinical Cardiology Fellowship (Chief Cardiology Fellow from 1998-1999), and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.

Dr. Lee is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Lee is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).

Dr. Lee has done research and written publications regarding cardiovascular disease, including the effects of estrogen replacement therapy on cardiovascular hemodynamics in post-menopausal women.

Dr. Lee’s areas of interest include interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular intervention, as well as closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO).
