Dr. Partha Manchikalapudi, MD

Dr. Manchikalapudi received his undergraduate degree (pre-university) from Osmania University, and his medical degree from Osmania Medical College, both in Hyderabad, India, completing in 1991. He then was a research fellow at Marion Bessin Research Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, after which he completed his training in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then followed his training with a program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and earned a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) – Epidemiology.

Dr. Manchikalapudi’s cardiology training included a fellowship in Cardiology at the U niversity of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, as well as a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University, in Providence, RI. Since completion of his training program in 2003, Dr. Manchi has practiced cardiology in the Hampton Roads area.

Dr. Manchikalapudi is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also obtained his nuclear license in 2002. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and is Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Dr. Manchikalapudi’s areas of interest include interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular intervention, and nuclear cardiology.
