Robert C. Bernstein, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Bernstein joined Cardiology Consultants, Ltd. in 1990. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts in 1979, and earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York in 1983. He completed his training in Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1986, and completed his fellowships in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia from 1986 to 1990.
Dr. Bernstein is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, as well as cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Bernstein is also Associate Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Bernstein is a cardiac electrophysiologist with areas of interest in radiofrequency ablative therapy for cardiac dysrhythmias, pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation, and cardiac transplantation medicine, as well as research in new drug therapies and device advances in treatment of cardiac dysrhythmias.
